Catherine McGregor is a respected cricket writer and broadcaster. She has covered Ashes tours for the ABC and News Limited and The Age. She has provided expert commentary to a number of Indian and English media organisations including the BBC. She is the author of two books on the Australian-Indian rivalry.

Catherine has been widely published as a social and political commentator by News Limited Fairfax and the ABC. She is a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon from which she graduated with Honours in Arts as well as being awarded the CEW Bean Prize for Military History. For her ‘exceptional service to the Australian Army’, she was made a Member of the Order of Australia in the Military Division on Australia Day 2012. She deployed on operations three times including as Commander of the Australian Training Team in Timor Leste.

She is a current first grade cricketer and has advised Cricket Australia and served as a selector for the Prime Minister’s XI. Her life and her passion for cricket was the subject of an acclaimed theatre production Still Point Turning staged by the Sydney Theatre Company in 2018.
